What is the Muse AI agent?
Muse is a personal AI agent from Meta, announced September 8, 2026 and powered by Meta’s Muse Spark model. It takes action for you: sending emails, booking travel, filling out forms, opening a browser, negotiating a bill and working toward bigger goals. Full overview on why Muse is my personal pick.
Is Muse available in my country?
As of October 2026, Muse is rolling out in the U.S. on iOS, Android and muse.ai, and inside WhatsApp. If you’re outside the U.S., or in the U.S. and don’t see it yet, it hasn’t reached your account. Check Meta’s announcements for expansion.
Is Muse free?
I don’t publish prices or plan details on this site because they change quickly. Check Meta’s current information in the app or at muse.ai for what’s included and what isn’t.
Can I use Muse inside WhatsApp?
Yes. Meta says Muse is usable directly inside WhatsApp, as well as on its own iOS and Android apps and on the web at muse.ai. Meta has also said AI glasses support is coming.
How do I set up Muse safely?
Connect one app at a time at the lowest access level that works, starting email at read-only. Keep confirmations on for sending and buying, read the audit trail after early tasks, and use “forget” for anything sensitive. Step by step in how to use Muse.
How does Muse handle payments?
As of October 2026, Muse uses Link by Stripe one-time-use cards and asks for confirmation before purchases. Meta has announced Shop Pay and 1Password support as coming.
Is Muse private? Does Meta use my conversations for ads?
Meta says Muse doesn’t share conversations or VM data with its ad systems, and you can opt out of having your interactions used for training. Muse runs on an isolated Secure VM, stores credentials where it can’t read them and uses a Sentinel agent to approve outbound actions. You’re still trusting a company, so decide what you connect. Details in Muse privacy.
Can Muse forget things I told it?
Yes. Muse remembers what matters to you, and you can tell it to forget specific things. You can also revoke any app’s access at any time.
Does Muse keep working when I close the app?
Yes. Muse keeps working after you close the app and comes back when something changes or it needs your approval. That’s what makes it an agent rather than a chat window.
How do I get better results from Muse?
Brief it like a new assistant: the goal, the context, the limits, what done looks like and when to check with you. Then correct it out loud so it learns your preferences. The 7-day Muse tutorial includes a brief template.
Should I use Muse for my business?
I keep business data out of my personal agent. For company work, I use business tools with admin controls; my business pick is Grok for business. Meta has announced Muse for Small Business as a separate offering.
Is Muse better than Grok or OpenAI's Dots?
They’re built for different jobs. As of October 2026, my picks are Grok Business for business, Muse for personal life and Claude for building your own agent, and Dots are worth a look if you already live in ChatGPT. Compare them in best AI agents.
